League Academy Reviews

League has a new, well equipped facility but still struggles to overcome a basic problem that has plagued the South Carolina school system for decades: attracting a better caliber of teacher. While there appears to be plenty of money for infrastructure the powers that be will not budget for higher teacher salaries. It's flash and sizzle but little meat. In our experience there have been only a handful of teachers that invest the energy and dedication one would hope to see from this most important component of public education. As a magnet school League is filled with talented and capable students who posses almost limitless potential. But they need to be challenged and supported in a manner more conducive to expanding on their potential as individuals.

This school is wonderful. My oldest daughter went here 6th through 8th grade, The teachers are very caring.

This year has been a nightmare. It has been virtually impossible to schedule a conference. Although there are a few dedicated teachers, most have their own agenda. Many parents are extremely displeased with lack of carry over and the simple lack of caring for students and students progress. League has a beautiful school but not much else.

My daughter is a current seventh grader at League. She attended League last year. I don't think League is doing the best it could for the students. I feel priorities are not in order at this school. The one positive thing I see happening at League are that there are no 'cliques'. All the children blend in very well. Thanks to all of the parents teaching their childen that everyone has feelings, and it is ok to be different.
